kerja melambak sampai otak cramp nak fikir nak buat apa dulu :( project? approval requests? kemas meja yang kena taufan ni? jadi jari ku menaip..

haha, kata ada kerja apehal aku menaip blog plak kan? selingan sket tuk elak terlalu stress..itula jawapan aku. hehe. back to my entry..our wedding cards dah siap!!! :)

I chose to custom design our wedding cards just so we shall always have that rasa puas hati sebab ikut design sendiri, plus save cost on design la kan..hehe, and also the fact that i have the bestest friend who can make my wedding card come true, tq Ain

jalan cerita design card aku semua bermula dengan logo, mmg dari time kt uia dulu pon, aku suka conteng2 nama kitorg, FaizalAzwin, buat dalam bentuk crossword lah, share huruf tengah lah, either huruf A, I, Z..hehe, tapi yang paling seimbang is sharing the letter Z. confirm xde org faham apa aku tulis pasal xde gambar kan, hehe. ok tngok kat bawah:-

nampak tak tulisan hitam kat bahu sayang aku tu?, 

itu la yang aku slalu lukis kat notes masa tengah lecture dulu, 

slipsort sume penuh time tahap gaban nye mgantuk :D

logo yang ni wna yang buatkan..hehe, along sangat sukeee

so my design rule no. one, kena ada logo ktorg ni. so wina adik aku tu tolong google kan some kerawang2 tuk my logo, aween approved trus ktorg try testing2 sendri...

yang atas ni logo testing je, ingat dah cukup ok dah,

 then ain ckp serabut sgt, and i agree gak.hehe

aku siapkan map & invite wordings (dalam word bodo je), for both our sides (google earth yer rumah syg nye map, dalam google maps xde ..) and then berkampung kat umah ain seminggu masa bulan june haritu..fuyooo..sronok melepak & pegi keje dari tempat lain..hehe, aku angkut skali designer aku sorg (adik kesayangan-wna), and mula la process kumpul idea, decision making (how many folds?, kertas jenis apa?, warna?, size?...and on and on....) di samping tu i did my research by analyzing kad kawin org lain (mmg aku rajin kumpul), and asking around on previous b2b's & friends (eija, qis, anne..) thanks so much girls, ada jugak guide aku nak proceed :)

after we finally set our minds on the size and rough design, me & ain memang back and forth thru email je..sungguh best, psl dgn bestfren sendri yang tolong. oh in the same time i had to send the map & wordings to syg, utk approval boss besar= En. Abd Rashid, heheh (bakal FIL)

fFIL dah bagi syarat2 kat ktorg, which actually senangkan process ktorg tuk design the whole card (im artistic only to a certain level, and it ain't that high.hehe), antaranya ialah:-

1) kad tu kena besar so senang orang nak baca (jemputan ramai org kampung/org tua)

2) ejaan sepenuhnya dalam BM (ok my fault pasal aku tulis 'Coordinate' instead of 'Koordinat' .hebat tak mata fFIL aku?)

3) ejaan check berkali-kali, dah check berkali-kali, then..check lagi

heheh, aween nye syarat2 pon ada:-

i) foldable card (for both sides nye invite, eventho our dates are far part 1 month, but lagi senang nak invite org kl to sabah, at least they have 2 months to plan a trip there..hehe)

ii) simple

iii) font tak nak yang berbunga2, pasal nanti susah nak bace

iv) tak nak yang ada inlay, 2 kali kerja

v) soft colours

wokeyh, setelah process design itu, ain finalized and transferred all our ideas into adobe illustrater (ai file), she sent me a copy everytime ada amendment & aku check again & again (spelling, spacing, segala), then it was time for me to find my printing hub..

my first trial printing, kedai kecik kt setiawangsa, just to ask how much it would cost as well print an A3 size copy of my card to see the quality of their printing..they said they would call me back and inform me on the price..

and seperti ramai b2b yang mencari kedai printing di kl ni, i went to LORONG BRUNEI (off JALAN PUDU)...ingat senang aku nak cari jalan gi sane? eventho i know jalan2 kat kl ni almost at the back of my hand (as a pedestrian), naik kereta je, mengelabah ok aku nak cari the right simpang and right road,, ahhh, aku memang pakar public transportation je k :p

sampai je kat sane, tengok kedai byk tutup, kesilapan aku yang pertama: pegi sana hari ahad ! apparently dorg bukak monday-saturday from morning til nite, and on Sunday most of the shops are closed..bummer kan? so dgn tak banyak kedai bukak, we started asking for quotations & bisnes cards.....

dah dapat quotes (yg sikit tu), balik umah buat research lagi, and comparison table, dapat paling murah kat:-

1) My one card

2) LH creative

yang lain sume mahal and over my small bajet (kad je besar, bajet kecik!) heheh, thus I decided to go to Jln Pudu lagi seround, tngok kedai2 lain yang sememangnya haven printing kat situ...so i went again the following week, this time on a friday (the same day aku cuti tuk urus borang2 nikah), angkut ain skali..pegi LH Creative again, dorg quote the same price but at a smaller size from my design..hmmm..time tu fikir..nak ke?..taknak kee?..

for the last time, googled up info on LH Creative, and found this forum: bad Experience with LH Creative.

then aku bace and menjadi cuak and uncertain.. err, mestila cuak kan, nak print kad pkai duit kan, bukannye air liur je..heh

woah! before sume start worry about their already ordered cards at LH or want to start condemning my entry about them, sila bace forum tu betul2..yang ada bad experience with them are mostly the brides/groom that have a custom made wedding card, means yang design sendiri, kalu bace lagi, ramai jugak yang dapat good service and quality from LH..just a precaution for others just like i learnt from this forum..hehe

i quote "I have now realised that it would've been better to just pay a little extra for better service.. Save the extra stress and inconvenience..I hope it is not wrong that I shared this experience.. but I really wish there was someone who told me about their service before I hired them.." unquote

thanks to KL Bride that posted this entry on the forum, trus aku cancel ke pudu and opted for printing at kedai first yang aku pergi (Setiawangsa tu), dorg ada call and bagi quotation a bit above my bajet, a bit je la, but i had decided better amek eventho mahal 10sen, rather than kena ulang alik ke pudu if ada something wrong, hehe, kedai ni kat setiawangsa je, tak sampai 5 minutes from my house (and that is on foot!)..

nak memberi final softcopy and pay deposit (50%) aku angkut pulak alin this time, hehe, hari yang sama that we were hunting for juya's wedding prezzie..kedai ni dah inform awal2, once print dorg print terus all the orders, so tak leh nk tengok the actual draft (scary kan?) hmmm, jadi mmg bertawakkal la diri ni (sambil dipujuk syg & wina), insyaAllah, kad tu ok..insyaAllah (heheh, mcm apa je kan?) :hint *bridezilla*

aku hantar printing on a tuesday, the following monday org dia dah kol:

En. Limbo: 'hi cik awin, kad awak dah siap tau', 

Aween (dgn penuh debar): 'yekeee? boleh dtg amek la ek?'

En. Limbo: 'dah siap since hari sabtu lagi, saje nak check dulu if ada silap ke pe, i hantar kt rumah u malam ni k'

haaaa, siap delivery ok, tapi dah kata rumah dekat je kan.hehe. malam tu tasha & kak azzwa dtg kat umah, maka mangsa seterusnya tuk teman collect cards aku is Kak Azzwa :) heheh. tq akak syg! terpaksa angkut package2 card kami yang berat (pjg nye order yang byk)..

hasilnye, im so happy and Syukur Alhamdulillah all the cards turned out to be super ok (bagi mata aku la), matte laminated depan blakang, pixel tak pecah, colour tak lari, size perfect, printed envelopes exactly how we want them, ada line lipatan yg memudahkan kerja melipat and plus the fact that En. Limbo sgt sporting (Limbo is the guy that im dealing with) heheh. Aku sungguh puas hati!! sesimple mana pon design aku, dapat diluahkan dalam bentuk kertas..yayyy (hati berbunga-bunga suka)
