Back from Cat-Land with Wedding Updates :)

i have had one hectic week! living in a hotel for 7 days, best jugak..balik je after work, everything dah kemas, ready tuk tido je :) 

being away on a business trip, memang aku takfikir langsung bout my wedding prep, jgn serabutkan otak yang sudah tersedia serabut..but nearing the end of April, im proud to say, we have made good progress on our wedding prep! jom kita lihat:-

1. Attire & Pelamin Bajau- BOOKED! 

syg payed 50% deposit last weekend..ohh how can i not love my syg? dia cari jugak vendor yang boleh construct pelamin like the one i want wrote earlier here.

he drove all the way up to Kota Belud alone (sian dia! jauh ok!) to find our Traditional Costume Vendor & after negotiating & showing them the pics from my blog (mmg dia amek gmbr of my blog with his phone camera!) & wallah..we found a vendor that has all that I want ..muahahahahahahah

so the pakej that syg took included:
- Bajau attire Bride & Groom (both will be brand new becoz syg nak simpan tuk kenangan hingga cucu cicit. hehe, layankan saje). He gave them my measurements based on my baju nikah so that would be just nice :) Fitting will be when I go to Sabah! in July
- Baju sewa for our pengapits (syg's youngest bro & one of his cousins i guess)
- All wedding accessories
- Alat perenjis & all the other stuff
- Pelamin Bajau
- Transportation


2. Bus for Family Aween (25 seater)- BOOKED! 
syg punya friend bawak bus so amek dgn dia je :)


3. Catering for Sabah Reception- CONFIRMED!
kan aku kata, senang je flow seblah syg ni, becoz syg tak cerewet, plus dia ada byk contacts & family yg besar. our catering will be by Kak Biah (syg's cousin) nye catering team. Senang! family event kan :)

4. Distribution of Kain Bridesmaids- SETTLE!
last 2 weeks met up with my kekasihs Ain, Pojan & Mag. So terus settle 3 org, before that went mencari rumah Maf & Haida (my two bridesmaids are overseas, Aussie & UK, hahah) so bagi kain kat parents dorg utk ditempah khas.heheh, skrg tinggal korg g tempah ikut design masing2, jgn lambat sgt nnt tailor xnak amek tempahan plak, haida xpe, mama dia jahit :D for Cnah & Izzat pulak, pos laju jeh & sudah selamat sampai ke Kuantan & Ipoh :) che'gu2 kesyganku


5. Baju nikah aku- PATUTNYE DAH SETTLE!
patutnye baju aku dah siap & boleh diambil 1st week April, but banyak btul  detailings (maniks) yang dah terchabot so mintak dorg touch-up, dah 2 kali pergi, not up to my satisfaction lagi :( seeing that aku dah malas nk mengamuk kat kak ina & the gang as well as drive all the way to Kajang, i have passed on to the collection & checking of my baju nikah to Pojan. weh jgn lupa kutip plak baju aku nnt! hehe. love you sayam!!


6. Pre-Honeymoon 1- GOT A PLACE!

chewah, poyo betul nih ada pre honeymoon bernombor pulak :D ok cternye camni, syg & me will be haiving a LDM (long distance marriage) for some months (insyaAllah) after getting hitched so we plan to have pre-honeymoon 1 (at Semenanjung) & pre-honeymoon 2 (at Sabah). *the only only time we will be berdua together*. Real Honeymoon (this means yg btul2 pkai bajet Honeymoon) probably next year (lepas dapat  bonus & cuti la apelagi)


anyway, pre-honeymoon 1 will be at Pangkor :D hahahaha..knapa Pangkor? tak silap aku ada someone dah vow tak nak pegi pangkor dah after penyeksaan jungle trekking kt Bukit Pacat! (aku la tu). well, reasonnye adelah pasal dapat voucher yg sungguh menarik & best!! :) kawan ofis syg dpt, and dia tak planning to use it in the near future, thus, rezeki for us.

dah tanye eija (rujukan utama aku for like EVERYTHING) & dia syorkan drive sendiri would be better, and btul gak, dh lepas honeymoon leh singgah kampung Abah kt Tapah, sambung sesi meet the big family (mama dah wajibkan ikut tradition tu).


7. Design Banner, Logo, Invites & Thank You tags- IN PROGRESS
dah hand over my photoshoot pics to Mag & Ain for them to edit n fully utilize :) Cant wait to see the Karikatur of me n syg (of coz by mag), i still owe ain details of the invites (map, doa, etc) and need to send mag the pics ref number that i want her to use. ish, keep on lupa je :D

MSAM 2010 To Focus On Promoting AS1M

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 (Bernama) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd's (PNB) Unit Trust Week 2010 (MSAM 2010) will focus on promoting Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS1M), said its president/chief executive officer, Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman.

"In line with the theme, 'Catalyst for 1Malaysia Investment', PNB would not be launching new unit trust like in the past but would focus on promoting AS1M.

"About RM6 billion worth of unit trusts had still not been taken up," he said after meeting MSAM 2010's partners here on Friday.

The 10 billion-unit fund was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on July 31, 2009.

He said 13 corporations, among them Malayan Banking Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd, I&P Group Bhd and UMW Holdings Bhd, had agreed to be its partners.

Hamad Kama Piah said feedback from the previous unit trust weeks had shown that the understanding and knowledge on unit trust investment had increased.

"We believe that with the information and experience gained, the public would be able to make a wise decision on financial planning," he said.

The MSAM 2010, which will be held at the parking lot at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Kuching, Sarawak from Apr 20-26, will be launched by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Hamad Kama Piah said PNB expected to attract at least 150,000 visitors.

The event, which was started 10 years ago, has managed to attract 1.7 million visitors, he said.

He said 50 firms, among them PNB's subsidiaries and investee companies, regulatory and government agencies, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd agents, firms from Sarawak, newspaper companies were expected to participate.

Silver Jubilee: Birthday Entry!

twenty-five..suku-abad..vingt-cinq..dua puluh lima tahun ahh?

yep aween, believe it! tua suda..

i have had great birthday surprises over the years..most of them, no.., i mean ALL of them are becoz of my beautiful friends (& also fiance' ~ syg aku bukan lupa tau.hahah) !! my family ain't the "celebrating b'day" type :D wat pe celebrate umur yang makin pendek kan?..heheh..but i love them all the same nway..

so this is the entry where i talk about my birthday, about a few past celebrations, surprises & cakes (of coz kna ada cake!), but pics are only from what i have stored, yang before2 that, i seriously only have the pics in my mind (pics kat org lain, i didn't take a copy), or my old thumbdrive (kna curi) heee..

i guess i'll start from some highlights during my uni years.. ok, honestly aku tak brape ingat dah time high skool or before :D, probably bcoz the pics xde so i can't recall all that well but aku ingat mesti dapat hadiah or bday card nye lah! time primary skool, my small 5 people gila nye budak2 kecik! (ingat tak rory?) heheh..

okeh, moving on...there was one bday surprise by 3G kesayangan suraya & kaye. they brought me to OU, & gave me a nice hair cut treat, siap kembang2 rambut aku segala, then aku pkai balik tudung jugak :D hahah, so of coz penyek balik, then dorg bawak aku gi Delicious & blanje & surprised me with the hot choc cake with vanilla ice cream on top..mantap, melt-in our mouth sodap! :)

then there are the countless time my 'PuRe celebrated my birthday, dari matrix kot..from pizza stuffing, surprise bday cakes (even when we were all struggling with out deadlines for thesis/final portfolio) SUMPAH, aku syg gila korg & every single thing that u do for me :) hahah

haaaa..2007! this year we were at Pangkor on the date of my birthday, time ni dah couple dgn syg, but dia x follow coz nak siapkan his thesis...but we had so much fun siot!

first big surprise..2 of my best-friends yang originally didn't follow us to Pangkor..SUDDENLY showed up on my Birthday!!! mcm gler aku menjerit & happy & suka & etc2..hahah, FAHMI & KAYE! korg ni mmg gila! gile!

THEN, they all pakat2..& made me a freaking huge sand cake..sumpah time tu rasa nak nangis terharuuuuuu (T_T)

2008 i got a small comel cake, mkn time tngah berpeluh menaip thesis :D hahah..sanggup dorg kuar dari campus cari cake gak tuk aku, eventho they didn't get enuf sleep from staying up at the studio (they is my 'PuRe), malam tu i think i went out with soedaydah & the gang (hee, ok seriously x ingat)

now last year was a real 'back-to -basics' birthday..nak tau apa aku buat the nite before my birthday?

well last year, my birthday fell when we had to go to the OBS course, a'ah..yang buat aku hitam legam tu..haa, yang ni la---> entry obs yang tak habis :D

lets see what i was doing, on 13th April, last year!!

yep, yang berbungkus mcm micheal jackson to is me, hehe, i really took no chances in making myself tanned..the dumb thing is i forgot i was wearing the cloth so i was smiling the widest smile..& tak nampak :D hahaha, dah puas dah kna gelak dgn budak2 hitam lain..tngok btul2, u can see me smiling kan?? heeee..my lovely kayak-partner yang nmpk senyuman lebar nye :) kamal, life-saver ku kat sana..he really looked out for me (utk info, ktorg kayak keliling pangkor ok! it was such a big OUCH!) hahaha

well, on my birthday i felt better at once becoz everyone was wishing me happy bday & calling me the birthday girl, and kebetulan pulak, i was leader of the group that day (go go JERAI!), so i got to be in charge :) <which i love!, if u didn't already know> hahaha, so semua org kna ikut cakap aku that day..BEST BDAY GIFT EVER! :D

on our last nite at OBS Lumut, after our BBQ dinner & wacky (plus sexay) performances..the instructors & everyone else surprised me, boy & naren (all April babies) with 2 chocolate birthday cakes :)

 comellllllll..it was filled with 'rindu' wishes, good luck for survival in the hutan wishes as well as one other note, just for me :)

heheheheh..ILOVE U GUYS..dari jauh hantar wish baling tepung, ohh so sweet :p

After coming back from Lumut, Perak..the first social gathering was Nik & Nurul's wedding reception..it was in Putrajaya & so beautiful, both nik & nurul (sebab nik pkai make-up!!) HAHAHA...

after the reception, next lepak stop was to Kaye's residence..rupa2nye..my kekasih's sume ni dah set up a surprise bday celebration for me (belated bday) & jnal (belated gak but still in May), kaye made us his new creation--> velvet cake..SEDAP GILA!

then comes the gler hebat scheming project..hasil daripada dua org kesayangan ku:-

and this is the other culprit..org yg x wish my bday tuuu..kaye :)

maj buat a great storyline, asking me to teman her to klcc, nak usha barang rumah, dan aku pulak, dengan semangatnya bertanya 'why klcc?, why not ikea?'...maj was like, 'jom jela aween, i really need your opinion for the cadar for my bedroom'..okay cadar girl! ko mmg hebat kan? and aku mmg senang percaya kan? ha ha hah

so off we went, me aziz and maj :) from surveying household ornaments, a weird black feather lamp (yang macam one of the mad hatters hat in Alice in Wonderland, kan aziz?), we were down to shoe hunting, and sempat makan ice cream new zealand lagi , while waiting for the rest of the other 'cadar opinion givers' which i thought tak perlu sangat pon since we had already gone to every store that was in klcc :S

after a bit, our tummy's were already rumbling, & i had to rush off to the hospital by 9, so maj said 'aween, jomla kte makan kat Dome', hmmm..i was, ok..mana2 je..

dah duduk2 kat Dome tu, warga PNB yang workaholic tu sampai la segerombolan..hehe, hoi korg tu btulke wat kerja sampai Maghrib? gler hebat..so in comes Faisal, Alin, Dira, Fiona (pics will be uploaded once i get the softcopies from kaye/adam)..the usual lepak2 gang, THEN..

aku tetibe sakit perut..hahah, tak taula masuk angin ke hape..but i really needed to go to the toilet badly! nak terkucil segala lah..so aku lari la pegi toilet, the nearest toilet tu yang kna bayar RM2 :p..me being the kedekut me, sanggup naik escalator to the normal FREE toilets one level higher, even though perut dah sakit gilaaaaaa...

setelah kelegaan, off i was back to Dome, maj dah callings 'hoi ko pegi kencing ke berak ke hape?' hehehehe..'coming2', dorg dah pindah tempat..duk kat a longer line of tables..i saw maj standing & smiling selebar2 nye..i was like 'ok, what happened?' pastu aku nampak muka muk2 yang familiar :)

Planning your own Wedding

I was browsing the net & found this article..true, & very useful for a bride planning her own wedding (like myself, ha ha). seeing as im not in the mood to blog rite now (anything coming from my writings are all negative for the time being-im predicting PMS hormones kicking in), so i'll just stick to the old copy & paste :)

Most of the couples would think that planning their own wedding is a stressful job. Some of the couples would rather increase their budget to hire a wedding planner to do everything for them. They might be missing fun in wedding planning if wedding planner is hired. Planning your wedding can be less stress and fun if you do it in the right way. Some key factors mentioned below will significantly help you to reduce the overall stress.

1. Right attitude is a must when you plan a wedding.
   A wedding is a happy occasion after all. Wedding planning allow you to be exposed to beautiful attire and accessories, beautiful venues and delicious food. It will become one of sweet memories that you will talk and laugh about for years.
2. You should start your planning as early as possible.
   You can start by gathering ideas by attending local bridal shows, purchasing bridal magazines, talking over experiences with married friends, shopping around, and surfing the internet. Starting early will allow you to be better organized, explore more possibilities, go over decisions more thoroughly, and best of all, leave you some time to relax the days before your wedding.
3. Planning the budget for wedding is very crucial.
   So it is better that you and your partner plan it together. You and your partner must estimate how much total available amount of money that you will have to spend on the wedding. Budgeting software or web application over the internet is recommended when you doing budgeting. Some of the applications are free of charge. It is essential for you to plan the budget as detail as possible. It is not advisable to spend more than what you have allocated for each category. This might seem like a stressful work but when you plan your wedding according to the budget that youuâ€ve planned, it the greatly reduce your stress and save you from over spend.
4. Try to find your close friends and relatives to help you in wedding planning.
   There are many tasks involved in planning a wedding and many times it can be overwhelming. Finding others to share the tasks can offer great reassurance. Remember, the idea is to reduce stress, not to increase it. Choose people that make you feel comfortable, are not domineering, and not people that trigger conflict. Always keep in mind that it is your wedding and you do not want others deciding for you. A close family member or best friends is a wise choice for wedding planning helper.
5. Shop around for good service providers and suppliers.
   Look for quality as well as price. Also, look for good service and the willingness to work with you. There are many out there. Some can be excellent and others terrible. Many times, service providers can make or fail your wedding. For service providers, ask for references and request to see them at work. If you attend any weddings or special occasions, remember to ask the names of the providers if you were satisfied with their services. This hand on experience is the best way of knowing. For the suppliers, you can ask for samples for the item before you purchase, you have to make sure you are satisfied with the price and quality before you go ahead with the transaction.

Finally, remember to include exercise in your daily routine. This is a good way to relief stress and help you feeling fit. After a day filled with tasks and decisions you deserve a little time for yourself. Set aside at least half an hour to do an activity that best suits you.

anywhoo, i had booked a slot from kak ZaifieZainal's new year promotion in January, time tu pegi tempat dia kat cheras to ask around on her bridal packages..it offered one make up session & one studio session kt Desa Melawati (near to my house), so just for the fun of it..i booked us a spot...


im so lucky that kak Zaifie was free on the same time that syg came down to kl..heee..so searching for a theme for the photoshoot (we could change 2 times-bring own attire), i stumbled upon these pics..besela..from google.. (yes, i do prefer pics than words):-
