We Got Engaged!!! <10.10.09>

After more than 5 months of planning..the day finally arrived for us to officially get engaged :) Despite our long-distance..my syg & I planned everything together..it all started with the first step--> me going to Sabah (in June '09)  to meet syg's mum & dad (because on our engagement day they can't come to KL)..

We bought all our hantaran stuff (engagement rings, shirt, tie, baju kurung, etc.) during the Merdeka Sale when syg came over to KL & we got real GREAT bargains (knowing me, I always go crazy over SALES). From booking our catering, photog, make-up, flight tickets...all the preparation that we made felt so much more precious when we used totally our own savings (so it was with a very tight budget! hahaha)~ and to make everything that bit more meaningful..my bestfriends & family were helping me in anyway that they could ♥

what more could I ask for when I have my hearts updating me on the best sales/shops around, maf making my hantaran, Kaye sponsoring my engagement cake, my uncles & aunts sponsoring jelly, dadih, chocolates for my hantaran, gubahan sireh junjung & sarang burung, popia (yang mmg jual kat kg. Baru ok!)..I am honestly the most luckiest girl around :)

We got engaged on a Saturday afternoon, after Zohor (approx. 1.45 pm) & everything went smoothly & fast...It was great..to have syg's family there (dorg datang about 8 cars i think), his uncles & aunts that flew from Sabah to join our ceremony, his cousins, siblings & niece..inilah time for them to berkenal-kenalan with my KL-based family :)

The Theme: Lilac Purple/Baby Purple/Light Purple
My Hantaran's to him: Lilac Purple + Black
His Hantaran to Me: Silver + White

as it was a small & simple event..we only invited our family members, my best best friends & our neighbours, so im sorry if anyone terasa sebab tak dijemput, it doesn't mean that we aren't close..it's just...engagement's should be that way..time kahwin nanti, InsyaAllah..we would want to invite everybody!! (my mum siap nk ajak makcik yang jual burger kat pasar malam~yes, my mum is an over-peramah person) hehehe

Allah blessed us with a sunny day..not too hot, no raindrops..Alhamdullillah..so here are some of the pics of our simple engagement day ♥

Jadi itulah yang terjadi pada hari pertunangan saya...It was a great day, everything went as planned & I'm just so happy to officially become syg's Fiancee now...yay!!

so here goes some outdated entries just for the sake that im in the mood to update my blog during this long (& boring) Hari Raya Aidiladha weekend :D

02.10.2009 - 09.10.2009

as my syg & me are in a long distance relationship..we always plan our work leaves early so that our busy (very busy) work isn't affected that much..

my company has a policy that all its employees have to take a compulsory leave (7 days compulsory leave for my 'critical' department), seeing that I had to take it before this year ends we planned to take leave for our engagement so that we could finish off the final things for our event..but most importantly spend beautiful 11 days together :)

ada jugak a few peeps find out that we took leave from work for so long and said 'eleh, baik nikah je terus'..i don't understand why they should be so dengki & busuk hati with us, sedangkan..its not like we're taking ur annual leave..so just go to hell & get ur own life (emo mmg sentiase ada)..lain kali nak comment please ask or even think before saying stuff bout others as if ur so perfect..

anyways, my syg pon took 7 days off from work (which didn't make any difference to me as he was on the phone most of the time..busy-body) heheh..so he flew in from KK on Friday nite (2.10.09), syg doesn't have any problem when coming to KL as most of his relatives are living here, so dia hidup menumpang at his sisters, cousins house during his stay..oh yeah, also not forgetting he stayed at Jamal & the gang's house too, coz they live in the same area as me ;)

we went to pick my head accessories too. this is called a 'cekak spider', I had been looking all over kl (ermmm and Nilai 3) for one that I liked (i.e. simple and floral, byk yang gambar butterfly my syg tak suke plak..haishh) last2 amek je from the bridal house yang supplied our catering that day..sewa jerhh

 

ni pon sewa jugak..this is what happens when we had additional budget..but at least it was cheaper than buying a new one :D

on the night before my engagement (09.10.09) my beautiful bestfrens came for a sleepover at my house..izaat came all the way from Ipoh, c-nah from cheras & mag from Damansara...oh girlss..thank you so much for making the effort to come..we had a late dinner & drinks before heading home after everyone had safely reached setiawangsa :)

as I have a bit of a control-freak attitude..I refused to get ready before everything seemed to be ready..so I forced..yes FORCED my darlings to help me susun all the tables and chairs under the one khemah outside...dahla sume org tak cukup tido..we were all in our pajamas in the morning, selekeh n bucuk..but hasilnye sunguh worth it :) c-nah say over-ruled my dad's and that was so freakin' cool! . ahahahaha

so that is the summary of our pre-engagement..siap behind the scenes lagi..heeee

when im feeling stressed. . . .

i just realized..i go back to my blog when i feel most stressed & lonely..just to read what has happened in my life & have that feeling that im actually talking to someone who doesn't judge..but just...listens..

is been a while since i have had the effort to put in a new post..which also means that i've been to lazy to flashback on what i've done all this while..skarang bler otak ni rasa dh sampai ke kemuncak stress..i think..i need to write it down (yela kate pon macam diary)

i have the habit of over-stressing myself...that i admit...and as i can recall i've always highlighted that as one of my weeknesses everytime i go for job interviews..i can be a freaking workaholic and all, but hell yeah..i tend to put pressure on myself to make me work harder but sometimes it doesn't work and i end up feeling over-loaded with work & super unsufficient :(

i hate it when i cna't control things..and im becoming a person that i don't even recognize..letting people step on my head...when i am so full of ego in reality..i just store it all in and will only wait when everything will burst out..uhhh..

ye...ini ialah S.T.R.E.S.S.

sedangkan..there are a lot of things that have happened that i am so thankful & happy for

1) Me & Sayang got engaged :)

• setelah a lot of thought & preperation by the 2 of us..we got engaged on 10.10.09
  
• i was so happy that everything went so smoothly and as I planned (please emphasize on the 'I') hahaha..just becoz im such a control freak (tapi ada la hiccups dia which was overcome with help from my beloved syg, my mum & of coz..my PuRe)

2) My batch n me got CONFIRMED in PNB :)

• after one whole year working at PNB
• after the 2 months full of classes that i didn't understand most of the time (investment related)
• after repeatedly having to take tests/quizzes
  
• after 25 full days of physical torture at OBS, Lumut,
  
• after three months of rotating from one department to another, having assessments & presentations every fortnight
• after having to be finally separated into our respective departments to go thru our 6 month long probation period
• after going thru the emotional roller-coasters of the normalities of a quarter-life crisis
• a'ah im over-exagerating it..but its the truth..ahahaha
  

ok la...nnt nak letak following post yang penuh dgn pics..ahhh...see..im feeling less stressed already....just needed to get out the junk :)
