Found kak awin thru er blog while I was blog-hopping and turns out shes actually my friends big sis, nama ktorg pun dah hampir sama and she offered me such a cheap price

NIKAH

As I was already comfortable with kak Awin & syg pun suka kak Awin punya make-up, thus I appointed her as my official make-up artist for my major wedding events (despite the fact the bridal package I took had 3x makeup already, hehe)

I had requested kak Awin for

PERSALINAN BAJU

had 4 different wardrobe change after nikah ceremony was over, 

damn mengantuk but cleverly covered by make-up

this make-up was by Aunty Rokiah (bridal),

so the deal was I took 1x make-up for salin2 baju

& the other 2x make-up went to my mum

& my lil sis wna for the reception :)

Fara Lyna currently works with m-a-c so she is a professional make-up artistmasa ni harga dah x boleh nak berkira sgt becoz of time constraint but I loved every ringgit spent on it (for a first time gamble run, we didn't even have time to do a trial make-up session)

Just last year i was jotting down details in my hantaran checklist...

We saved quite a lot of money on our hantarans as we bought all raw material for the 16 dulangs sekaligus, I decorated most of the hantarans and lucky me got such a great bestfriend (my one and only SOEDAYDAH) that lent me all her dulangs for FREE plus lent me the lovely flowers and silver & gold boxes from her engagement & wedding :)

uuuuu, im proud of this :) saved up a portion of my personal savings to be able to buy syg this cam-corder. Full HD!! beli kat PC Fair, KLCC in August '10 (yeah so whatever kan? org lain boleh bagi kereta & rumah atas dulang, well utk org yg tak originally kaya it means so much more to be able to buy ur loved ones stuff like this, using cash!)

dari dulu-duluuu lagi i have always wanted to give syg books as a hantaran. I love reading & so does he, so wanted to share our interest on our dulangs. Found a lot of good reviews on Ustaz Saiful Islam's books and have also read his blog and rasa sesuaila beli buku ni tuk hubby so he can learn and I can learn together. The books are:

i) 'Aku Terima Nikahnya'

ii) 'Sampai ke Syurga' the second book after 'Aku Terima Nikahnya' and Dr. Gray's famous relationship book

iii) 'Men are from mars, Women are from Venus' and syg punya special request a book on

iv)investment/investing (his new hobby apparently now)

heheh, nothing special about our hantaran cake, just ordinary new york cheesecake from secret recipe :) even one of my aunts had asked 'eh, bday sape ni?' hahah, simple sgt cake smpai dia ingat cake bday je..

well, because most of our budget had gone towards the event at the hall, so we decided to tone down the expenditure on our hantarans. so there you are, no fondant or fancy flowers, i guess the only thing special to me is I bought the cake at a special discounted price thanks to mama's friend who is a branch manager at secret recipe. Got a delicious cake & payed less for it :D

weeeeee, my favourite of them alllll, my pink comel zephyred (haih, semua barang aku bernama zephyred) lappy top, my first lappy top ever, (before this pkai pc shj) tq yang! tq yang! tq yang!, kerana bank-in kan duit and mebolehkan aku pilih lappy top aku sendri :D (thanx kak fid for this tooo)

ELLE handbag & polo shoes, huu, tak sempat kumpul duit sampai boleh beli coach sebijik, heee, ala apedehal, kahwin is for a lifetime, u have a lifetime to buy me all those

all cost around RM250

that would mean on average RM16/dulang :)

budget? yes i was such a tight budgeted bride

Eventhough my hantarans & deco are nothing much to flaunt about, but I have this sense of overwhelming satisfaction, becoz even tho simple, tak grand, tak mahal, I did it by myself & that always makes me happy (the feeling of being in-charge, hehe). and decorating it myself saved me alot alot alot of money..

thus, put aside the fact that i didn't get enough sleep 2 weeks before the wedding because I only had time to d-i-y everything late at nite/early in the morning, it was really worth it :)

tapi if ada duit, tempahla kat professionals or ur other family members to do it, lose a bit on the stress and sleep part, hehe

he bakes out of passion

and we love kaye residence too!

i know im such a lucky biatch to have a best friend

that is a master in bakery, hehehe,

he also sponsored my engagement cake too ;)

on the day of my reception:-

 my beloved committee prepping up the cake table for the just arrived 3-tier cake

 discussing on how to decorate it, then...

 lets all huddle together and do this!

 hasilanyaaaaa...sungguh comel & gorjes & i love u guys so much

 under all the glam of its exterior, inside were three-scrumptios layers of red-velvet cake (because i just love kayes red-velvet ok, its to-die for!!!)

I can't not blog about my amazingly beautiful FREE khemah, that i proudly used for my nikah ceremony & malam berinai besar. Untuk yang terlepas cerita, i won this pretty canopy and all its loveliness from a contest i had entered after i got engaged in 2009 ;) detailed story HERE , as a promise to my sponsors,

 i hereby blog on the gorgeous prize i won thru a slogan contest :)

there were around 4 or 5 contests, each untuk kategory sendiri, make-up & busana, video & photography, pelamin deco, etc. and to tell the truth i sent in entries for almost all of them, saje nak try my luck

menarik bukan? x terliur untuk a budget bride like me?

time ni dah brangan dah, kalaulah dapat khemah ni,

at least xdela nampak simple sangat nikah &

 malam berinai aku kat umah nanti

 & boleh guna duit tuk bayar catering

in April 2010, kak Suria from NSJ Events came over to our house to discuss on what event i was having & the theme colour i wanted for the deco. Honestly, time tu i still wasn't sure what colours to choose as i had already set my heart and konon having a white themed colour wedding

tapi kak suria advised (kata pun khemah consultant), biarlah ada colour sikit, bru nampak ceria & meriah, my mum & sis pun stuju so we all agreed on white, cream & gold for the khemah deco. thus everything else followed along as well, gold + cream

  

view from the front, there are actually 2 canopies, kak suria's is the one behind, the one in front is by my mums friend (dpt harga sgt murah, extremely lower than market rate)

tadaaaaaa, this is the lovely decorated canopy from NSJ Events, 20 x 20ft size, full with gold & white deco, 4 fully decorated tables, 32 chairs with cover & ribbons, meja beradap luciously decorated with fresh gorgeous flowers, large fans, backdrop, garden deco & ceiling garden balls (with lights) as well as 8 white-ribboned chivalry chairs :)

i love the flowers so so so soooooooo much. i was still busy going in and out of the house doing final chores when kak suria and her gang came to decorate the canopy, i had some time after to talk to the flower decorater, memang teliti sangat kerja dia and he said kak suria normally appoints him for flower decorating jobs (freelancer). also help take pictures for them too, hehe
